Adventure calls in Nikoderiko: The Magical World – Director’s Cut, our love letter to platformers! Run, jump, and ride with Niko and Luna through colorful levels full of danger, treasures, and super-sized bosses. Play on your own or together with a friend in couch co-op—also, play anywhere with your Steam Deck!
Nikoderiko: The Magical World – Director’s Cut features all-new levels, more treasures, and new challenges to master in Hard Mode. Any progress from the original game will carry over, too!
JUMP INTO ADVENTURE:
When a magical island falls under the evil clutches of Baron Grimbald and his Cobring army, two treasure-hunting mongooses heed the call to adventure. Take Niko and Luna through vibrant 2.5D worlds packed with platforming thrills, super-sized boss fights, minecart rides, underwater odysseys, and even classic 3D segments.
EXPLORE 8 WORLDS:
Put your platforming skills to the test as you blaze through colorful levels across eight worlds. Explore the frosty peaks of Snowland, the mysterious Magic Wood, and Dry Sea’s briny depths—and keep an eye out for secret collectibles hidden along the way. Whether you’re a classic platformer fan or just jumping in, there’s something for everyone!
RIDE ANIMAL MOUNTS:
Collect and summon animal friends found throughout the world! Ride them to new heights, or use their special attacks to battle enemies. Charge with Boaris the Boar, hop on Todd the Toad for lofty leaps, rule the waves with Oceanis the Seahorse, or go prehistoric with Dino.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF:
Tailor the game to your skill level! Young fans and platformer newcomers can start with Easy Mode, while Normal Mode offers something to chew on without getting too sweaty. Hard Mode and challenge modifiers will shake things up for true platforming pros. Mirrored levels? Why not! Chased by a vindictive crosshair? You got it! Many more tricky challenges are available to test your platforming mettle. Are you up to the task?

- Click the green button below.
- Wait for a few seconds, then hit the “download” button. Let the file download completely.
- Once the download is finished, right-click the .zip file and choose “Extract to The Nikoderiko The Magical World” (make sure you have 7-Zip installed; you can download it here).
- Open the extracted folder and run the game as an administrator.
- Enjoy playing! Always run the game as an administrator to prevent any issues. If you see any missing DLL errors, check the Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install any required programs.
